Apr. 12th, 2012 11:54 pmNova opened her eyes to a blazing sun, and a buzzing head. Everything was spinning just a little bit, and she sat up gingerly waiting for the world to straighten out. This was far from the first time she had knocked herself unconscious, though she had hoped that her flying abilities had improved somewhat. What was it that she was doing? Her hand brushed something silky, and she looked down to see the pink silk bag that she been charged to fill with fairy dust.
“Oh no,” she said softly, gently touching the tender place on her forehead where she had made forcible contact with a large pine tree, hissing softly. She looked up at the blazing sun. It had been sunset when she had accidentally plowed into the tree on her way to the dwarf mines. “I am very late.”
With a deep breath, and a shower of dust, she shrank down to fairy size, and with a few flaps of her wings, she launched herself into the sky, and there she hovered. Somehow, she had not the vaguest clue where she might be. There were mountains in the distance, but they were not the right mountains. In fact, nothing was the right . . . anything. This was more than just lost. Nova have been lost enough times to know.
